Did studio shoot last Friday with Amri Ginang at Z Studios at Bandar Tun Husein Onn. I join in late since earlier I had to cover wedding job between Eddie and Fiza at Puchong. 

They had started it since i only arrived around 6pm but it's ok since i shooting Tania the younger sister of Natasha Hudson the famous model/actress

Amri Ginang is a great portrait photographer and he shared with us the lighting set-up and how he cross-processing the images his style/technique using Photoshop. It is a simple editing but the end result is really great.

I learn a lot and hopefully will apply it in my future learning process.

Kaftan Elegance Series 2 Photoshoot

Last saturday since i got nothing much to do, i participate in the Kaftan Elegance Series 2 at Hotel Royal Chulan organized by Sabrina's Collection from Kajang. If i not mistaken, the 1st series was held at Taman Botani, Putrajaya. 

To be honest, I'm not very good in models photoshoot. There are many photographers will try their best in getting the best angle/composition, lighting. style, pose  from models and all these will make me more lazy to shoot, just don't like to compete with others. 

Furthermore i feels small in 'size' when all those otai and big shot photographers come with their big cameras and long/white lens.

I only managed to shoot few images since my camera was not functioning well that day. Lens error will pop-up on my camera monitor for every second shot. It was really frustrating when there are 11 beautiful models and my camera didn't allow me to shoot them. Ni sure kes jeles....

Aku terasa bosan selepas dekat satu bulan balik dari diving trip aku di Pulau Perhentian. Hari-hari asyik pikir mana lagi aku nak merayau. Banyak jugak tempat aku pikir, aku rasa nak pergi India dari dulu lagi, terpikir pasal trip utara Thailand, masuk Laos terus ke Hanoi, turun ke Saigon dan bertapa kejap di Seam Reap. Ada juga nak cuba pergi ke Makassar, Myanmar, nak balik semula ke Manado sebab aku da rindu kat Pulau Bunaken dan masih belum dive lagi Kat Pulau Lembeh yang famous dengan muck dive.

Next year aku da book flight tiket ke Bali selama 10 hari. Aku cuma bayar RM186 pergi balik walaupun harga asalnya cuma RM100 tapi bila gedebak gedebok masuk macam-macam additional cost, bertambah lagi RM86. Takpe la masih lagi murah.

Pada 11.11.11 yang lepas aku sibuk betul dengan 2 majlis akad nikah di Damansara Utama dan satu lagi di Hulu Langat. Lepas shoot majlis di Damansara, aku shoot kejap ke workshop di Subang sebab nak ricky workshop untuk repair kereta Datsun buruk aku. Tak lama lagi bole la bermula operasi membaikpulih kereta aku ni.

Sebenarnya Yusz kawan aku ajak cover majlis persanding di Kayu Ara tapi aku da bosan nak pergi merayau jugak. 2-3 hari sebelum tu aku da confirm dengan Zamani yang aku nak ikut dia tengok event LeTua XXX Challenge dekat Bertam, Seberang Jaya.

R.I.P my biawak

Today i lost the only housemate that i have. On April 1, 2010 i bought one red(male) and i green(female) iguana as my housemate.

The green iguana die last due to the red aggressive approach to woo her. my mistake since i have not taught him where i myself have miserably.

11.11.11

11.11.11 adalah satu hari yang ditunggu-tunggu kemunculannya terutama bagi couple yang mau bernikah seperti majlis nikah yang aku cover hari ni. Ni satu nombor yang senang untuk diingati dan tidak ada alasan bagi para suami untuk terlupa hari di mana rantai telah diikat pada kaki mereka.

Aku pada paginya membantu Yusz Alam Sengketa untuk cover majlis pernikahan antara Feroz dan Rina. Rina ni masa aku sampai masjid, aku tengok betul-betul cun macam heroin cerita Hindustan, anak mami la....

Waktu bernikah dirancang pun pada pukul 11 pagi dan kami sempat merakam gambar jam di Masjid Al-Mujahiddeen Damansara Utama pada pukul 11.11am. Ada jugak posing-posing yang terlepas jadi jam 11.12am.

Malamnya pulak aku cover untuk Badang majlis nikah Amzar dan Sue di Kampong Bukir Raya, Hulu Langat. Masa aku drive kesana, aku terpikir kalau Feroz dan Rina nikah pada kam 11am,

Majlis Bertandang Izwan & Azian

Seperti biasa aku ni selalu bertuah memdapat pasangan pengantin dan keluarga mereka yang sporting bila datang cover majlis besar mereka. Bila semuaya sporting-sporting, kerja aku untuk shoot-shoot pun bertambah senang. Senang utnuk aku dan senang untuk dia orang.

Kali ni aku mewakili Emwaikei Artnet untuk majlis bertandang untuk pasangan pengantin baru Izwan dan Azian di Ampang.

Sebenarnya aku teringin nak letak lebih banyak lagi gambar pengantim perempuan sebab sweet sangat dia dan kalau sesiapa yang nak tengok lagi yang lain, bole klik link aku kat Flickr di bawah sekali

Makcik tudung pink ni dengan bangganya menunjukkan hasil dia kat anak sedara dia. anak sedara dia pulak dengan pantas sambar semua yang ada dalam tangan. Apa lagi, acara kejar mengejar pun bermula

Perhentian Kecil

I had a friend that told me of his plan to travel/visit all the islands in Malaysia and i find it very interesting. After the conversation it's only once or twice pop-up in my mind about his idea.

In 2008 when my daughter Lisya follows her mama to Australia, I start to feel lonely and restless. I need to something with my free time especially during weekend. I use to cycle and hangout with Lisya before but now it was only cycle in my list. 

Photography has been one of my dream things to do since when i was still study. Arts has been in my blood, actually i am quite good in drawing if i must say, my brother is a full-time artist and even my father also good in arts. I used to collected articles about photography to read and study about it but money has been the big issue back then. 

When finally i can afford to buy a camera, the interest has faded out, i started to dive into cars, big bikes and bicycles. All these hobbies required me to spend tons of monies into it. What can i say, i enjoying it but the memories is intangible, it's all in my mind.

Then i bought my first DSLR camera a month after Lisya left, it was Canon 40D with Sigma 18-200mm without OS lens. Two months after that i enrolled in Open Water Diver course at Mabul Island. In three months i become DSLR camera owner and certified open water diver.

From that moment i start to travel and scuba diving, see the beautiful places that i can afford. I have been to many islands and plan to travel all the islands in Malaysia like my friend dreams. Thanks my friend.

So far for me, Perhentian Island is one of the best island that i have visited. The water is crystal clear, sands are white and soft, there are many choices of accommodation that you can choose from as cheap as RM15 per night to RM350. 

There are many activities that you can do while you are at the island such as scuba diving, snorkeling(rm40 for one day package), photography, swimming, lying down on the beach while get your skin tanned, walking and climbing to the hill where the windmills is and get a better view of the island from the top.

Lots of activities happening at night where you can have candle light dinner on the beach (full moon above the sea), hanging out with friends at the open bars or enjoying live band at Monkey Bar. If you are not the bar type, you can walking on the beach and enjoying the sea breeze.

Well.... not everything great about Perhentian, like other islands, there are some flaws. The first thing that really hit me is the foods price. It is really expensive, the same price if you eat at good restaurant in KL or McDonald Value Meal Large package. Minimum price for fried ride or noodle is rm8 and need to pay more if your change from normal to seafood. Hot drinks will be rm2.50 per glass. (Please try the fruit shake drinks, it's really a must have drinks)

At night the BBQ set (they serve fish like King Fish, Barracuda, Blue Marlin) for RM20. If you want cheaper and cozy environment, those that stay at Long Beach can walk over to Coral Bay where they sell it at cheaper price rm15/18. 

Another thing that you must be aware of is that there are lots of mosquito on the island. Please bring insect repellent or mosquito coil, you will really needs it. 

Some facts that i would like to add about the island:

- the boat to the island will cost you rm40 per trip or rm70 return.

- boat departure to the island will be at 7am, 11am and 3pm and from island to the main land at 8am,      12pm and 4pm.

- don't be surprised to pay rm2 to the water taxi that will take you to the beach. The water is to shallow for the boat to get near to the beach.

- the island is close during Monsoon season from mid October until March.

- Please behave yourself when you at the island. Nobody like uncivilized people that act like monkey.

One thing that i am sure that you will cherish the unforgettable experience if you decide to visit the island

For Jains, Diwali marks the attainment of moksha or nirvana by Mahavira in 527 BC.
Deepavali is an official holiday in India,Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Mauritius, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname, Malaysia, Singapore,and Fiji.
The name "Diwali" is a contraction of "Deepavali" (Sanskrit: दीपावली Dīpāvalī), which translates into "row of lamps".Diwali involves the lighting of small clay lamps (diyas or dīpas) in Sanskrit: दीप) filled with oil to signify the triumph of good over evil. During Diwali, all the celebrants wear new clothes and share sweets and snacks with family members and friends.
The festival starts with Dhanteras on which most Indian business communities begin their financial year. The second day of the festival, Naraka Chaturdasi, marks the vanquishing of the demon Naraka by Lord Krishna and his wife Satyabhama. Amavasya, the third day of Deepawali, marks the worship of Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth in her most benevolent mood, fulfilling the wishes of her devotees. Amavasya also tells the story of Lord Vishnu, who in his dwarf incarnation vanquished the Bali, and banished him to Patala. It is on the fourth day of Deepawali, Kartika Shudda Padyami, that Bali went to patala and took the reins of his new kingdom in there. The fifth day is referred to as Yama Dvitiya (also called Bhai Dooj), and on this day sisters invite their brothers to their homes.
